Altera produces a range of programmable logic devices that range from low cost to high end, are matched by a structured ASIC capability, and are supported with a package of development software and IP. Max® II CPLDs: The lowest-cost CPLDs ever. MAX II devices are based on a groundbreaking new CPLD architecture that delivers the lowest cost per I/O pin and the lowest power of any CPLD family. Featuring a low-power process technology, MAX II devices deliver half the cost, one-tenth the power, four times the density, and twice the performance of previous MAX devices.

This instant-on, non-volatile device family targets general-purpose, low-density logic applications. In addition to delivering the lowest cost for traditional CPLD designs, MAX II devices drive cost and power improvements to higher densities, enabling designers to use MAX II devices in place of higher-cost or higher-power ASSPs and standard logic devices.

Cyclone® Series FPGAs: The FPGA that launched the low cost FPGA revolution. Altera's Cyclone series of FPGAs are built from the ground up for low cost. These low-cost devices provide application-focused features such as embedded memory, external memory interfaces, and clock management circuitry. Cyclone series FPGAs are an optimal solution for high-volume, cost-sensitive applications.

Arria™ GX FPGAs: Altera's newest FPGA family, Arria GX FPGAs are the answer to easily connect existing modules and devices to new chips supporting the PCI Express, Gigabit Ethernet, and Serial RapidIO™ protocols. Arria GX devices are the only risk-free, low-cost FPGAs with transceivers.

Stratix® Series FPGAs: With Altera’s new Stratix device series, you get high-end FPGAs that combine the world's highest performance and highest density with the lowest possible power consumption. The newest member of the series, Stratix III FPGAs, provide the high performance and high-integration capabilities needed for next-generation base stations, network infrastructure, and advanced imaging equipment.

HardCopy® Structured ASICs: Pin-for-pin compatible with Stratix FPGAs, HardCopy ASICs provide a seamless migration path from fast time-to-market FPGA implementation, to lower cost volume production.
