AKA Embedded System Research Center (AKAE) was founded in July 2004 by a
group of enthusiastic researchers from Chinese first-rate universities and
engineers of well-known international corporations. AKAE aims to be not only a
connection between the IT industry and academic community, but also a cradle
for senior engineers in the field of embedded systems.
AKAE has a strong research background. The research interest of AKAE ranges from hardware to software, including real-time scheduling, dynamic power management, mobile and wireless computation, embedded OS, etc. Since its inception, the members of AKAE have published many research papers in international journals or conferences, and most of these papers are indexed
by SCI, EI and ISTP. Quite a lot of experts and CTOs in famous IT corporations are also members of AKAE, which further facilitates us to establish channels to apply our research fruits into real products.
In order to provide essential supports to both the academic community and industry, AKAE has launched a training project in 2004. Topics of the training courses include but are not limited to: Linux OS, the ARM Architecture, Embedded System Development, Device Drivers, and OS Porting. Many trainees enter top-ranking international corporations and become senior experts after receiving the training of AKAE. Currently, AKAE is one of the leading training organizations for embedded systems in China.
AKAE also supports the open-source movement financially and
technically. The supported SKYEYE project has already been accepted by overseas colleagues and has become one of the key tools for embedded OS development.
With strong support from the IT industry and academic community, and in the face of unprecedented opportunities in China, AKAE tries best to become an excellent research center and make more contributions to technology development.
