CDC 3231G CAN Controller for Instrumentation and Body Applications by Micronas GmbH

Semiconductor Vendor with ARM Processor RTL license from ARM

Product Description

The CDC 3231G is a high-end CAN controller for instrumentation and body applications representing a ROM derivative of MICRONAS‘ 32bit automotive controller family based on an ARM7TDMI CPU core. It is pin compatible to all members of the CDC 32xxG controller platform.
The microcontroller with its ARM7TDMI RISC CPU core allows two states of operation: ARM state with 32 bit instructions and THUMB state with 16 bit instructions.
The current version CDC 3231G offers 6k Byte of SRAM, 128k Byte of mask ROM and 8k Byte of Boot ROM. Four stepper motor drivers, as well as a LCD module are embedded for dashboard requirements. Communication is possible via 1 full CAN modules. Due to its scalable architecture more derivatives can be obtained with short lead time and with minimum time for qualification. All devices have the patented ERM (EMI Reduction Module) inbuilt and are operated with single 5V power supply. Further pin- and software compatible devices of the CDC 32xxG family will follow.
