Description:
The Intel IXC1100 control plane processor
combines the high performance and low power of an Intel XScale core with a
rich suite of interconnects and performance-enhancing Intel IXC1100 Control
Plane Performance Primitives. Intel IXC1100 Control Plane Performance
Primitives can further enhance the performance of the IXC1100 processor for
control plane processing, defined as the management of policies for execution in the data plane,including connection management, route management, signaling and exception-handling on the line card. The IXC1100 control plane processor extends the benefits of Intel XScale technology, including its rich set of development tools, to meet the processing needs of multi-service switches, VoP media gateways,wireless infrastructure and other networking equipment.
