SRS Labs’ award-winning WOW audio enhancement technology for audio-enabled multimedia functions on mobile phones and PDAs. WOW utilizes patented psychoacoustic techniques to solve physical audio deficiencies inherent in the small single or stereo speaker drivers that are used in mobile handsets and PDAs. SRS WOW delivers a realistic and full stereo image as well as compensates for the lack of low-frequency performance of these small speakers through the application of TruBass, which creates deep, rich bass up to an octave below the physical limitations of the speakers themselves. WOW provides significant improvement to polyphonic (MIDI) ring tones, game audio, streaming video/audio, multimedia messaging and digital audio played over headphones and single (mono) or stereo external speakers on these devices. For the new stereo speaker enabled mobile phones, WOW provides an extremely wide stereo sound image from small speakers placed closely together and is perfect for polyphonic ring tone and digitally compressed music playback and is compatible with all music formats.

New Technologies Available with WOW for Mobile Devices:

"Small Speaker Settings"- WOW provides 7 adjustable bass enhancement settings in TruBass™ with support for very small drivers (400Hz)

"SRS Single Speaker" (new!) Important stereo difference information is lost during traditional down-mix to mono. SRS Single Speaker mode provides improved spatial information over a single monaural speaker driver to deliver audio that is closer to the stereo source content. You've got to hear the difference that WOW makes to believe it. Instruments present in the original song are lost during traditional mix down and when WOW with SRS Single Speaker is uses, the instruments return and can be heard over the small speaker with the highest quality and separation of MIDI instruments, and definition of polyphonic ring tones.

"SRS Megawide" (new!) Provides a "medium" wide spatial image for stereo speakers placed closely together on handsets. Uses SRS and TruBass to provide a natural 3D sound field, and a rich, deep bass effect.

"SRS Extreme" (new!) The widest spatial image for stereo polyphonic ring tones, reproduced over two drivers. Provides a dramatic effect that allows audio to sound as if it were outside of the constrained speaker separation.
