StarCell™ PERIPHERAL IPs
Faraday's StarCell is a collection of silicon-proven and reusable IPs developed to facilitate the rapid growing SoC designs. Compliant with the AMBA bus standard, StarCell IPs are very easily integrated in any ARM core-based design. Using StarCell, designers can concentrate on the system integration and leave the task of peripheral development to Faraday.
StarCell provides widely used IPs in generic SoC designs. Current StarCell portfolio includes: Static Memory Controller, SDRAM Controller, DMA Controller, PCI-to-AHB Bridge, UART, Timer, Watchdog Timer, Real-time Clock, CF Host Controller, SD Host Controller, Keyboard/Mouse Controller, Synchronous Serial Port, GPIO, PCI 33/66, USB1.1 Controller/PHY, USB2.0 Controller/PHY, Fast Ethernet MAC/PHY, Bluetooth Baseband, etc.
Faraday’s platform is capable of shortening customers’ system-level integration design cycle by offering ARM cores, pre-verification peripheral blocks, simulation models, evaluation board, and reference software. Customers are able to differentiate their products by building application-specific IPs based on Faraday’s platform. It ensures both fast time-to-market and flexibility.
