SoftRISC is a DSP communication software applications company with a specialized focus on ARM based RISC platforms. SoftRISC makes use of innovative techniques and strategies to implement communication solutions on RISC processors leading to simpler designs without DSP processor, resulting in savings in power, SoC real estate and significant reduction in cost of the chip. SoftRISC will license software IP such as VoIP, Audio, Video, Wireless on ARM architecture.
SoftRISC works closely with ARM as a software alliance partner; works with ARM's licensees to deploy cost effective communication solutions on their ARM based processors to the market place. Presently, SoftRISC supports all architectures from ARM -- ARM7, ARM9T, ARM9E, ARM11, ARM Cortex Mx, ARM Cortex Ax series, ARM NEON, and various derivative implementations by processor companies such as Qualcomm, Marvell, TI, Freescale, Samsung, NXP, ST, ST Ericsson, Toshiba, etc.
