联合信源成立于2003年12月，公司股东由来自产、学、研等方面具有多年相关领域研究经验和产业背景的六家单位构成，研发队伍脱胎于1996年成立的国家先进人机通讯技术联合实验室，经过四年的发展，已成为拥有近百名研发生产人员的高科技公司，公司90%以上的人员拥有大学本科以上学历。
联合信源肩负着中国自主创新的国家音视频编解码标准AVS产业应用推广的历史使命，定位于AVS编码器研发、生产、销售及服务，提供AVS终端完整解决方案和技术支持,先进音视频技术研究及应用。

National Source was founded in December 2003. The founders were coming from six organizations and had plenty of experience in production, education and research. The R & D group was spun out from the National Advanced Human-computer Communication Technology Laboratory which was established in 1996. With four years’ development, the company has become a high-tec company which has about 100 R&D stuff and the more than 90% of the employees have bachelor’s or higher degree.

National Source is working on promoting the application of the innovative national video and audio codec standard AVS. The company is specialized in the R&D, production, Sales and service of the AVS encoder. It provides the advanced video and audio solution such as the complete AVS solutions and technical support.
